　　本片根据艾德加·赖斯·巴勒斯的小说改编而成。讲述的是第一次世界大战期间，一艘德国潜艇在撞沉一艘英国人的船以后，救起了幸存者。但是这艘潜艇开错了方向，将这些幸存者带到了一片未知的土地上。那里，栖息着大量的恐龙和穴居人。他们能顺利地重返家园吗？

　　奥德尔（茅斯·达夫 Mos Def 饰）和路易斯（约翰·哈克斯 John Hawkes 饰）两位小贼相识于铁窗之后，颇为投机的两人决定出狱之后联手行动，干一票大买卖，就此安度余生。于是，两人将目标放在了名为弗兰克（蒂姆·罗宾斯 Tim Robbins 饰）的富有资本家身上，他们绑架了弗兰克的妻子米奇（詹妮弗·安妮斯顿 Jennifer Aniston 饰），以此向前者讨要巨额赎金。　　可是，很快，奥德尔和路易斯就发现，他们的盘算落空了。原来，弗兰克早就有了性感美艳的情人玛姬（艾拉·菲舍尔 Isla Fisher 饰），根本没有想要赎人的意思，他巴不得两位绑匪尽快了结自己的糟糠之妻，如此一来自己便可以省下一大堆麻烦。

As the threat draws closer, the humans look elsewhere, get jealous, and rip into each other under the bewildered eyes of their indoor robots.
